Who We Are

The decentralized system of governance and Ghana's constitution, as well as the Popular Participation Framework, ensure that women and marginalized groups are not excluded from leadership positions, developmental projects, and the decision-making process. Even with these provisions in place, a woman — especially an indigenous woman — and marginalized groups must still fight for their space. More than 80% of these marginalized groups are illiterate due to rural culture and inadequate involvement, which has led to less awareness of the decentralized system, fewer developmental projects, and less participation in leadership, hence more marginalization.

The organization hopes to be an interface between the leadership structures and the women, men, youth and persons with disability at all levels, to make them self-reliant socially and economically, and to enhance their political consciousness and sustainable development.
