— ADVOCACY & LOBBYING
The advocacy and lobbying strategies shall target regulatory institutions of the environment such as the Environmental Protection Agency, Parliamentarians, District/Municipal Assemblies, and other allied governmental institutions. FFEG shall mobilize and organize communities around critical concerns and shall form community groups as a base group for advocacy.
FFEG shall recognize business organizations, regulatory institutions, community members, legislative bodies and other state institutions as stakeholders. FFEG shall use dialogue as a tool for stakeholder engagement where applicable, and shall employ dialogue as a conflict-resolution mechanism.
LOCAL · NATIONAL · INTERNATIONAL
FFEG shall develop campaign strategies at the local, national and international levels.
HEALTH DIRECTORATE
FFEG, in collaboration with the public health directorate, shall campaign on health-related issues.
RIGHTS & LIVELIHOOD
Campaigns shall draw attention to institutional impunity concerning human rights violations, environmental destruction, gender discrimination and loss of livelihood.
POLICY PRINCIPLES
Campaigns shall aim to influence public opinion and policy makers to achieve policy changes sensitive to community concerns — including the 'Polluter Pays Principle' and 'Free, Prior and Informed Consent' — and to improve the quality of life of marginalized communities.
